My police adventure

I already put this on my myspace blog the day this story happened, but now I thought its worth putting it on my new blog here! It happened on a nice warm day of april the 23th.

______________________________________________________________

Okay, I just wanted to tell you my police adventure here so I dont have to tell it again and again :) I already posted it really quickly on the day itself, but this is the more detailed version :D

My laptop got stolen from the car a week ago

Now some amazing guy found an ad on the internet, went to the guy who was selling it, didn't really trust the guy when he arrived, checked my laptop, saw my name, went home, googled me, found my website, called me with the info and that he thought has some 'interesting information for me' :D.

Then! I told the police of course, but they where pretty slow as usual, so I contacted the guy myself (under a false name) who was selling my laptop, to make an appointment, i pretended I wanted to buy it.

So I went there with 4 police officers in 2 cars, with guns and all, from Amsterdam to Almere. I went inside together with 2 cops (they didnt wear their suits obviously), talked to the guy as if i'm interested, checked out the laptop, then I gave the sign to the police that it is MY laptop (the sign was that I had to say "I'd like to buy it"), then one of the officers went outside to take the "big guys" (in uniform), and then they arrested the guy :D You should have seen the seller's face when suddenly these people said "We're the police" Haha.
Then we went back to Amsterdam, then after a while I could take my laptop back!!

Thank you very much Bob! (the guy who was really helpful to get me my laptop back)

Oh, yeah, when I went home, I checked my laptop (almost everything that was on it was deleted, unfortunately), but I opened the trash, and there was this mysterious image file. I opened it, and there was a picture that probably the thieves took just for fun using photobooth, the built in camera, and forgot to empty the trash. Weird, to see the theives faces on your own computer. (The guy from before was just the seller, not the thief). I sent it to the police of course, and I got this nice message back from them that I could call myself already a detective. Haha.

Anyway, I already bought a new macbook, so if anyone is interested in buying my old one, message me ! Its in perfect condition.

I still miss my guitarsynth and sound interface, which also got stolen, hopefully i'll get them back soon too.

Anyway, thats my adventure of today.

Some thoughts

These are some thoughts I've been writing over the past few months. And I thought why not sharing them here. Here goes:

True art, meaning artistic innovation, comes from having no external influences, just internal. As soon as the thought of money or fame interferes with creativity, it cannot become a real innovation.

Big art happens when the artists feels completely one with the environment, and has no rational thoughts about something. In this moment he creates what's already there, it's faith, he expresses it.
Though, being able to follow standards set by previous ones, and distinguish oneself as an individual within these standards, is something one can learn, and it can create very good art.

Some may think that one is free when you reach carelessness and have no limits on what you can do with sensuality, drugs and related.
Others may think that one's heart is free when you are liberated from your desires and don't need sensuality, drugs and related.

I think the human mind is the strongest thing in our universe, we have the capability of conquering everything, your own fears, and achieve what we want. Your imagination is your best friend and by using it you can make your own love and happiness.

There is only one thing that you should. That is to believe nothing should.

Free your mind imagine your position in the universe and embrace the earth and dance along with its orbit together with its brothers around our sun.

Become quiet. Let silence guide you. There is nothing you should. Nothing you have to try.

The thing you need is an excuse to do what you want.

What would be great is to have anonymous art again like in the middle ages.

Many artists work so much with references to other art. Its pretty easy and nice. But not real.
Music is really the one thing that can heal us.
Never interfere status with art.

What's going on these days?

Well. There have been a few different things happening.

  1. Last friday I went to my favourite music club in the world called Paradox, it's in my city of birth Tilburg. I had a meeting with the programmer, he was going to give me some advice about booking tours, and how to get more attention to the music. He also said its a nice idea to keep a blog or something, to keep you people interested.
  2. Well, it seems like a very good idea. Not only because of that, but somehow it gives so much happy pleasure to be publishing your thoughts without having to think about finding a publisher and stuff. Just like being able to publish your music without having to nag to label owners. But now thoughts.
  3. Other stuff, I have been quite busy with doing some school projects. Which was doing a performance with dance. It was cool. And writing an article that analyzes our workflow.
  4. I also have been making plans for a new quite ambitious musical project. You will hear more about this in the future.
  5. For now, I will be trying to book a european tour, for the first time. It will be a tough job, but that's life!
